Mission Statement
The Waipahu Aloha Club is a program that supports the mission, vision and goals of the Waipahu Aloha Clubhouse through fundraising, employment and educational efforts. It is organized for the purpose of enhancing rehabilitation through charitable, educational and social activities.
Fundraising
Fundraising efforts provide education and employment supports, advocacy, health and wellness supports, and opportunities to attend training and seminars on the Clubhouse philosophy.
Advocacy
The Club educates the public about the Clubhouse model and mental illness. The Club works to decrease the stigma of mental illness by educating our community about the positive impact of having our program participants (members) be contributing members of society and to help them develop the skills necessary for community reintegration.
Employment and Education
Employment is a fundamental element of the Clubhouse Philosophy. The Club networks with community leaders and groups to develop employment opportunities for members of the Clubhouse. The also provide support to members who wish to pursue pre or post high school education.
